Lambda Iota Chapter
Of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
Columbus, GA— Brother Reginald L. Pugh, President/ CEO of the Urban
League of Greater Columbus and the Basileus of the Lambda Iota Chapter of
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. was named the 2005 Citizen of the Year by State
of Georgia, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. The selection for this honor was based
on his outstanding leadership and involvement within the community and with
the state of Georgia in making the community a better place for all its citizen.
Columbus, Ga.— The Brothers of Lambda Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi
Fraternity, Inc. honored Brother Antonio C. Owens, the highest honor in the
chapter, as the 2005 Omega Man of the Year. Brother Owens is currently the
Vice Basileus of Lambda Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and
he is the Area Vice President of North Columbus and Phenix City Boys &
Girls Club. He was honored on the bases of his outstanding work with community
outreach within the Social Action projects.
Columbus, Ga.—Brother Abdur R. Hassan received the Superior Performance
award for his outstanding work as the chapter Keeper of Records and Seal.
Brother Hassan involvement within the recording of the chapter activities
as allowed the chapter to be honored on the state and national level of the
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. His special love for recording program and
activities of the chapter has allowed the community see what Omega Psi Phi
Fraternity do for its citizens.
